Music Instructor Carolina Nagy
I love music, I learn music, and therefore I dedicate my career to teaching music.
Carolina has been teaching private music instruction for 20 years, 6 of which were devoted to the Division of Preparatory Studies at the University of Manitoba.
Carolina’s instruction helps students of any skill level not only be the best musicians they can be, but to love the journey along the way. At the heart of her teaching philosophy is the belief that building confidence and creativity through learning music fuels passion in all areas of life.
Interested in playing in an orchestra or learning how to fiddle? Need to prepare for an upcoming event?
Take your violin playing to the next level, or simply learn to play for the first time with private violin lessons. Learn correctly from the beginning, playing fun songs and pieces in a warm, relaxed environment.
Individual lessons teach budding musicians how to motivate themselves and practice effectively at home, setting them up for a lifetime of positive practice habits that will make waves into other areas of their lives.
Private Piano Lessons
Viva La Music welcomes piano students 5 years and older, from beginners to proficient musicians.
All piano lessons share the pleasure of music through metaphor, humor, creativity, and lots of laughter. I also encourage students to play multiple styles of music – from classical to popular works – so they can feel comfortable in today’s music world.
I believe that singing is a gift that lasts a lifetime and that through music we can explore the world’s cultures and experiences. The choir program is designed to help children develop proper singing techniques in a fun setting. We will also be exploring other fundamental musical concepts such as rhythm, form and tone through movement (dance) and body percussion.
The main philosophy is derived from the Orff Music Program, where proper singing is considered a priority.
The Children’s Choir is open to students ages 3 – 17. Centered around the development of children’s musical skills, students will be engaged in singing, movement, theory, ear training and ensemble playing.
Choir members will be:
Private Ukulele Lessons
I challenge students to grow personally through performing, composing, and playing music with others.
My teaching method is to meet students at their current level of development and interest. I aim to inspire students to grow musically through learning proper technique, music theory, music history, and relevant repertoire.
