Carolina holds a bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance from the Marcel Desautels Faculty of Music, University of Manitoba, complemented by a strong background in Behavioral Psychology. She pursued graduate studies in Violin Performance, researching applications of Behavior Modification and Sports Psychology to reduce performance anxiety in musicians. Carolina continues to enhance her skills with certifications including Orff Level 1 and training in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention and the Vulnerable Persons Act, embodying her advocacy for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
With over twenty-five years as a solo, small ensemble, and orchestral violinist, Carolina has captivated audiences with dynamic performances that evoke a range of emotions. Known for her clear voice and dramatic approach, Carolina engages children effortlessly with her energy and charisma. Her ability to intuitively understand and respond to emotional dynamics enhances her role as an educator, allowing her to connect deeply with young learners.
Carolina’s extensive music education spans decades of studying orchestral and chamber music scores, solo violin pieces, and music theory spanning from 1600 to 2023. She has honed her expertise in music theory, harmony, counterpoint, analysis, and history through rigorous training with elite musicians at renowned universities. Carolina’s passion for music shines through in her teaching, whether she’s sharing a classical masterpiece like Edvard Grieg’s Peer Gynt or leading children in joyful chants and games.
Carolina’s experience in schools and childcare centers has strengthened her classroom management skills and deepened her understanding of supporting students with learning disabilities and regulation challenges.
